Pep Montserrat

Pep Montserrat is a Barcelona-based illustrator who works regularly for both national and international press. He is also an author of illustrations for children’s and YA books, with titles published across Europe, the Americas, and Asia.

Throughout his career, his work has earned significant acclaim in Spain, including prestigious awards from the Spanish Ministry of Culture (1995), the Catalonia Prize (1997), and the Junceda Prize (2004, 2009, 2017). Between 2006 and 2011, he was consistently selected by the Society of Illustratorsin New York, where he was honored with a Certificate of Merit in 2008 and 2011. Most recently, in 2024, he received the National Illustration Prizefrom the Spanish Ministry of Culture, the highest recognition in the field.
