Edson Ikê

EDSON IKÊ is an illustrator, graphic designer, visual artist and book author. He works with several different techniques and styles in an attempt to combine woodcuts with unusual and creative illustrations.

Over the last 19 years as a professional, he has developed commissioned work for publishers: Moderna (Grupo Santillana), Evoluir, Nós, Editora Mol, Ciclo Contínuo, Miolo Mole, Sesc Santo André, Sesc Belenzinho, Sesc São Carlos, Sesc Pinheiros, Folha de São Paulo, New York Times, advertising agencies, and cultural producers. He is represented by Marlena Agency (USA), which works with artists and illustrators from all over the world.

He recently illustrated the book “Elza a Voz do Milênio” in partnership with Nina Rizzi, a biography for children and young people about the trajectory of singer Elza Soares for VR Editora (2023). With actor and writer Lázaro Ramos, he published the book “Edith e a Velha Sentada” published by Pallas. He worked for a publisher outside the country, releasing two books: “Soccerverse Poems About Soccer” and “Little Scoot” by the American publisher WordSong. And books in Brazil, “Zumbi Assombra Quem?” Nós Editora, “No balanço da Maré” and “Sofi a pipa balarina” for Evoluir Educação.
