Jessica Romberg 1968

Swedish born illustrator, currently living and working in Vancouver

Graduated at Beckmans School of Design, fashion department in 1997. Jessica started as a fashion designer with own fashion label Yoyogi in 1997 and was part of the prestiges group Designer Pool sponsored by Stockholm Fashion District between 1997-2000.
During this time Jessica had more and more started to enjoy making prints for fabric and fashion illustration for her own label and in 2002 she made a carer change as she went from fashion to illustration.
Some of the thinking from working with fashion is still there as she starts of by designing the colors for the illustration while thinking of the topic of the illustration and how to visualize the text the best way.
Her goal is that the illustration should not only be the perfect interpretation of a text or a topic, it should also be catching in colors and make a modern impression.
